当社サービスラーニングサークルの初めての活動として、「小規模デイサービスカラー富士見が丘」殿のクリスマス会に、美しく優しいトーンチャイムの音色を介護施設や病院、地域のイベントなどへ届けられている音楽サークル「Ｄｕｅｍｉｌａ」様をお招きするお手伝いをして参りました。

ぬくもりがいっぱいの施設
Ｄｕｅｍｉｌａのメンバーよりも少し早めに到着した我々を、利用者の皆さんやスタッフの方々が暖かく迎えいれてくださいました。小規模デイサービス施設とのお付き合いは今回が初めてですが、家庭的な雰囲気があり普通の家庭の居間に通された感じでとてもリラックスできました。
トーンチャイムとは
トーンチャイムはハンドベルのような楽器です。
１人だけでは演奏ができませんし、たった１人が欠けてしまってもダメです。
ほかの人がだす音を聞きながら、自分の出番がくるのを待つ。
自分はたった１つの音をだすだけなのに、それが前の音とつながり、次の音を呼びおこす。
そのようにして、１人１人が小さくても大切な役割をきちんと果たしていくとき素晴らしい音楽が完成します。
音楽サークルＤｕｅｍｉｌａ
２０年前に幼稚園の音楽サークルとして発足。子供さんの成長とともに活動の枠を広げられ、２０００年にグループ名うをイタリア語で「２０００」を意味する「Ｄｕｅｍｉｌａ」とされました。平成２３年度「ハートフルシティーコンサートおの」ハートフル賞など数々の賞を受賞されるなどその実力は折紙つきです。今回もクリスマスソングだけでなく、利用者さんも一緒に歌える童謡なども演目にくわえてくださり、楽しい時間を提供してくださいました。
活動を終えて
当初ボランティア活動と聞いていた私は誘導灯を用意して身構えていたのですが活動自体は施設の利用者さんと一緒にトーンチャイムの鑑賞をしていたという感じでした。
たくさんのクリスマスソングの他、童謡「ふるさと」やいきものがかりの「ありがとう」なども演奏してもらいました。トーンチャイムをはじめて知ったのですが、近代的な造りをしている楽器だなぁと思いました。英語や数字、記号などが刻印されていて、音色は鉄琴に似ており、大勢の人がそれぞれ鍵盤を持ち、また各人が複数の鍵盤を持ち替えて鳴らす、チームワークで音楽が完成します。我々警備隊にもチームワークが必要です。また、同じサービス業でありながら、接することがなかったデイサービスのスタッフの活躍ぶりも見学させていただくことができました。今後の我々の業務に「ふれあい」「いたわり」の気持ちが更にプラスされるきっかけとなりました。
式典当日警備隊は、ちょっと早めに出動し、乱横断や道路上での乗降などの危険行為を防止するための、資機材や案内看板の設置などを行い、新成人の皆さんの到着を待ちます。まだ、早朝ゆえ肌寒いですがお天気は良さそうです。
受付開始の８時５０分ごろから、次々と新成人やご家族の方々が続々と集まりだしました。
続々と新成人を乗せた自動車が交差点から入ってきますが、皆さん警備隊の誘導に従って駐車場へと進んでくださいます。路上で乗り降りされるような迷惑行為は見受けられません。
小野市の成人式は自治体からの押し付けの成人式ではありません。新成人で構成される実行委員会が中心となり企画から運営をされています。今年のテーマは「夢人（ゆめんちゅ）～５０９通りの向かう先あってもええやん～」でした。「インタビュー＆トーク」では、新成人たちが「歌で人を感動させるため音楽学校に通う」「やりたい仕事を見つけるために今の学業をしっかりやる」「人の役に立てる今の職業（自衛隊）に誇りをもっていきたい」などそれぞれの「夢」や「目標」を語たられました。
また今年は、社会に「夢」や「希望」を届けるような試みとして、絵本を手にしたことのない海外の子ども達や、東日本大震災で被災した子ども達に絵本を贈ろうと、「絵本の回収」に取り組まれました。新成人の一人ひとりが持参したほか、実行委員が学校や企業を回って協力をお願いするなどして、目標の１０００冊を大きく上回る１４８５冊が集まったそうです。
こんな素晴らしい成人式のお手伝いをさせていただき、ありがとうございました。
